Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026 · ClariMac (Quebec, Canada)

1. Acceptance of terms

By using ClariMac ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada.

2. Description of service

ClariMac provides a hardware certification service for used Apple Mac computers. The Service consists of: a diagnostic script that scans your Mac locally, a web wizard to complete the report, a public and verifiable certification report, and cryptographic anchoring of the report hash on the Solana blockchain.

3. Pricing and payment

The current price for publishing one certification report is $7.95 CAD (taxes included). Payment is processed securely by Stripe. All sales are final — no refunds are issued once a report has been published, as the blockchain anchor is irreversible.

4. Accuracy of reports

ClariMac reports reflect the hardware state of the Mac at the time of the scan. ClariMac does not guarantee the future condition of the device. The report is not a warranty, appraisal, or guarantee of purchase. Buyers should use the report as one element of their due diligence.

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of information provided during the manual checklist. Submitting false information is prohibited and may result in report removal.

5. Prohibited uses

You may not use ClariMac to: certify a Mac you do not own or have no right to sell, submit false or manipulated hardware data, reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the API, resell or repackage the Service without written authorization.

6. Intellectual property

The ClariMac platform, design, and brand are owned by ClariMac. The diagnostic script is open-source under the MIT license. Individual certification reports belong to the user who purchased them.

7. Limitation of liability

ClariMac is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClariMac shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including losses from a Mac purchase or sale decision made based on a ClariMac report.

8. Blockchain immutability

When a report is published, a SHA-256 hash is anchored on the Solana blockchain. This anchor is permanent and irreversible. ClariMac cannot remove or modify a blockchain record once created.

9. Termination

ClariMac reserves the right to suspend or remove reports that violate these terms. No refund will be issued in such cases.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Quebec.
